How much would it cost to file a child custody hearing?

My boyfriend has a son that the mother of his son rarely lets him see. (The 2 were never married) My boyfriend pays the child support and is nothing but a PERFECT father to his baby boy. I’m looking to get a lawyer for him to file for joint custody for Christmas…Roughly how much could it cost?

A lot!!! Probably 1500-2000 up front, if you want to pursue it further it could cost up to 20, 000

When one is in a child custody hearing one is under marshall law, YOU OR YOUR CHILDREN HAVE NO RIGHTS The courts usually show no fairness or mercy . And as far as cost all you got and a thousand present more. Which is so cruel. Monies which would benefit ones children.
